Recently, I had the opportunity to speak at a women’s breakfast on the power of vision boards and how they align with biblical principles. It was a beautiful time with ladies that never heard of vision boards, let alone make one. We explored what it means to have a God-given vision and the importance of writing it down, believing in it, and taking steps of faith. This blog is a condensed version of that teaching—a reminder that the dreams God places in our hearts are never meant to be forgotten.

Has God placed a dream on your heart that you’ve set aside? Maybe an idea, a goal, or a vision once burned brightly within you, but over time, life happened. Disappointments, setbacks, or simply the busyness of life caused it to fade into the background.  It could be related to your career, relationships, finances, health, or spiritual growth.

Sometimes we bury our dreams so deep that we forget they were ever there. Take a moment and ask yourself: What dream have I let go of that still stirs something within me?

Whatever it is, acknowledge it—because God may be calling you to dust it off and bring it back to life.

There’s a reason you put that dream on hold. Maybe fear, failure, or past hurt made you believe it wasn’t possible. Maybe life’s circumstances convinced you to let it go or just everyday life with kids, spouse and responsibilities. But here’s the truth: God’s plans for you haven’t changed. It’s okay to hope again. It’s okay to step forward in faith. The past may have shaped your journey, but it doesn’t have to define your future.

Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that “The tongue has the power of life and death.” What words have you spoken about your dream? Have you told yourself it’s too late, that you’re not capable, or that it’s impossible? Those words bury your vision deeper. Instead, start speaking life. Say it out loud: “This dream is still possible. With God, all things are possible.” The words you declare shape the reality you walk into.

James 2:17 tells us that “faith without works is dead.” It’s not enough to dream, you have to take action. But don’t let that overwhelm you. You don’t have to take giant steps. Start small. One step today, then another tomorrow. Consistent movement in the right direction will bring your dream back to life.

God hasn’t forgotten the vision He placed in your heart. So don’t be afraid to pick up that dream again, dust it off and bring it back to life - trust Him and move forward!
