Turning the Tide of Emotional Turbulence Devotions for Parents with Teens in Crisis by Stacy Lee Flury

Although I haven’t yet finished every devotional in this powerful book yet, I read enough to say Stacy Lee Flury’s message is one that deeply matters.

Turning the Tide of Emotional Turbulence is more than a devotional—it’s a lifeline for parents navigating the stormy waters of raising a child in crisis. Stacy writes with raw vulnerability, lessons learned in the fire, and a compassionate voice that speaks directly to the hurting heart.

One of the most valuable parts of this book is the resource section at the back. As someone who works closely with families in need of support, I can say this section is worth its weight in gold. For parents who feel lost or unsure of where to begin, these carefully curated tools and contacts provide a practical and hope-filled starting point.

I’m keeping my copy in my office as a go-to resource for the families I serve.

Each devotional entry is thoughtful and anchored in Scripture, speaking to both the weary heart and the praying parent. I wholeheartedly recommend this book and hope it reaches the hands of every parent who feels overwhelmed, isolated, or heartbroken over their teen’s struggles. Stacy, thank you for your obedience to God in writing this. May it bless many lives.

If you or someone you love is walking through the storm of a teen in crisis, I encourage you to pick up a copy of Turning the Tide of Emotional Turbulence. It just might be the hope-filled guide you didn’t know you needed.
